2) Vintage Patio from House and Garden magazine, 1956, that still feels relevant today.

3) Alys Beach, an award-winning new urbanist community on the sugar-white sands of north Florida. Designed by the uber-talented husband and wife team: Erik Vogt and Marieanne Khoury-Vogt. Source: Garden and Gun magazine.

4) Viceroy Hotel, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. I was fortunate enough to be the first person ever married at this stunning hotel. And, yes, this was my unforgettable suite.

5) Designer Nicki Huggins’ outdoor room – “I’m in love with hanging beds. I took this bed design with adjustable back with me on my honeymoon in Bali and had it made there.” It shares the room with the iconic Thinking Man chair by Jasper Morrison for Cappellini, 1988, an American original Howell 526 spring chair from 1935 available through RetroPatio, and Maya Lin’s Stones table for Knoll. Bowl is by Luna Garcia.

6) Garden Shed by Ville Hara and Linda Bergroth of Hel Yes! overlooks a secluded Finnish island. The kit is available through Kekkilä Garden in Finland and by Hasselfors Garden in other Scandinavian countries.
